More than 25 years of hospitality experience Troy S. Bennett, CHA was most recently the senior vice president of asset management for Gencom's Ritz-Carlton and luxury hotel portfolio. As such, he was responsible for overseeing operations, which includes improving top line revenues and bottom line performance; evaluating and supervising recurring capital projects, ROI projects, major renovations, master planning and expansions; residential and mixed use project development, and implementing and overseeing the company's new thrust in upgrading its food and beverage operations with third party restaurateurs. Prior to joining Gencom, Bennett was Vice President of Asset Management with Host Hotels and Resorts in Bethesda, Md. through 2006, where he was responsible for managing the acquisition, disposition, development, repositioning, master planning, operations and budgeting for a billion dollar portfolio of luxury hotel brands including The Ritz-Carlton. Before this, he was managing director at Benchmark International Hospitality in Houston, where he created and developed a new division of luxury independent hotels. Previously, he was managing director with the ultra-luxury Grand Theme Hotels Group in Orlando, Fla., where he oversaw the design and development along with managing three hotels in the Grand Theme Hotels portfolio, including the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Fla.; the Celebration Hotel in Orlando, Fla.; and the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, Ga. During the course of his career, Mr. Bennett has Asset Managed the following Hotels & Resorts while employed with Host Hotels & Resorts and The Gencom Group: Host Hotels & Resorts Active in the business community, Bennett has served on several hospitality- related boards, is a member of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association and has taken several continuing educational classes at Harvard Law School and Cornell University. |
